The Design Process

Our Designer Tina Jerome listens to the client's requirements and interprets these into beautiful unique garden spaces.

Stage 1 - Consultation

After making contact, Tina Jerome will meet with you on your site to discuss your garden requirements which are specifically tailored to your lifestyle and your garden space available. The consultation lasts for about 1 hour and is usually free of charge.

Stage 2 - Proposal

The information from the consultation will be collated, and following this initial stage we will write to you to discuss our proposal for your garden, coupled with a quote for the garden design drawing commission.

Stage 3 - Site Survey and Analysis

If you wish to proceed with our services, our next stage is to measure your site and to plot your boundaries. We will record vital information relevant to your site which includes orientation, soil analysis, photographs, and further data important to the development of your new garden design. A Survey Plan will be provided to you in CAD / PDF format of your existing garden and its boundaries, which will be drawn to scale. This will produce a blank template which can be used for your new garden design.

Stage 4 - Concept Plan

Information gathered from the site survey will be analysed and used to produce a new Concept Plan for your garden space. This plan will encompass new shapes, your brief and the designer's ideas too.

Stage 5 - Master Plan (including Planting Plan)

From an agreed Concept Plan, we will work on a Master Plan which is highly detailed, including a full planting plan within the design taking in to account soil conditions, orientation of your garden and personal preferences. At this stage, the agreed Master Plan can be presented to selected potential contractors to provide an estimate for your garden build.
